I have a pair of 3 day old goslings...they were born outside at a farm, have them in a brooder now, but when can they go outside? And when and what veggies shall I add to their diet? Also, raising them to protect chickens, when should I combine goslings and chicks? They look bored to me. I feel like they should go outside and do goose things.

The goslings will need to stay warm for a while. One source said:

To keep your baby geese warm, the brooder should have a 250-watt heat lamp. The lamp should keep the temperature in the gosling brooder at about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature should be decreased by 5 degrees every week.

I guess it depends on the temperature outside in your area. I'm sure they could go on supervised excursions during the day. a half hour of lower temperatures won't hurt.

Geese love greens and grass, of course be careful of exposure to pesticides on grass.

Try introducing the goslings to the chicks early under supervision. You want they to regard the chickens as members of their flock.

Mine go out between 2 and 3 weeks old usually. The temps have been in the 40's and 50's at night and high 60's to low 80's during the day. Once they start having feathers beneath their down they move out

Thankyou, both! The temps are only in the 50's and 60's during the day, and 30's at night, so I suppose I will be patient and let them run in our breezeway.....just tired of cleaning up poo from the carpet...blahhh!
