When can we let our chicks play outside?

We have 28 Plymouth Barred Rock chicks that hatched late last week, and they're already starting to get the cutest like feathers on their wings as they hang out in the brooder.

I know it'll be quite a while until we move them out to the coop for good, but at what point can we take them outside in a controlled environment to play and poke around. Are they OK at a week if we keep it to 30 minutes or so, or do we need to wait a bit longer?

Thanks,
Matt

As long as it's not real cold, they should be fine. The accent is on controlled environment. Just be sure they can't go too far and that they will be safe.

mine are 11 days today. i have been taking them out for over a week. short times and in the coop. they love it
