When did your Silkies start laying?

Hi there, I'm new to keeping chickens and I have 3 silkies! They are 4 months old. One of mine started to crow pretty early (at about 3 months or so) so I was thinking maybe the others would start laying pretty soon if they were hens. I was just curious, when did your Silkies start to lay eggs? Thanks!

I have 5 silkies around 3 months. Usually they will start around 5 mo to 7 mo.

I have 2 silkies that are the same age. The first was 5 months when she started laying and the other followed suit about 10 days later. They both have gone broody already even though they have been laying for less then a month. I have them setting on some guinea eggs right now.

Silkie eggs are small but very tasty. My grandkids love having them for breakfast. They are just the right size for kids.

awesome! My silkie hen is soo small, I don't even understand how she's going to carry an egg hahaha
