When do I help? 2 have hatched....can see the 3rd winking at me.

Two were happy and healthy this morning. The other one I can see winking thru a hole but seems he can't get thru
the membrane. When do I help? How do I help? How long should I wait?

Most likely he is just a little behind the other two. How long has it been pipped? Is it zipping at all, or just the pip hole?

A lot of people disagree with helping the chicks if they can't make it out on their own. Personally, I do not agree. 3 of my beautiful, healthy babies wouldn't have made it if I hadn't offered help. 1 was breech and stuck sideways, 1 was a sticky chick and literally glued to itself so after pipping it coudln't emerge, and one was just too big and had a super thick shell. I waited at least 12hrs before I even began to consider assisting. It can take quite some time for them to hatch.
