This is our first time with eggs. We’ve had 6 hatch and this little one pipped about 3pm yesterday. It’s now noon and 21 hours later. I still hear it chirping from time to time and moving. Do I just continue to be patient or help? Thank you so much!

I ended up having to help one that pipped but exhausted itself and was making no progress. Be very careful, I was so careful and methodical and thank god it worked out for me. Good luck

Is there a trick to helping? I’ve never done this before and certainly don’t want to harm her or make her bleed out.

Gently pull back the top shell. The whole shell top should come off. If the membrane doesn't come off the top with the shell, wet it down with your finger and warm water. Then peel it off.

Then I pull the head out of the egg. Wait an hour or so and see if it'll push out the rest of the way on its own.

Thank you!!! I pulled off the top carefully and it came out on its own in a couple minutes. Thank you!!!
