when do I start giving the chickens grit.

I jhave just gotten 4 6 week old chickens

I bought Chick Grit for my 8 week olds. I just put a pile of it on a flat rock in their run. They peck at it as needed.

Mine had sand and some larger from the time they hit the ground. I really didn't give them treats untill they were around 4 weeks then I had to cook them some oat meal and raisins. To this day that is their fav treat.
