when do I start the 12 hour feeding schedule

Hello, I have read several posts that indicate I should have my meaties on a 12 hour feeding schedule but not sure when to start or stop. They are 7 days old and I have had constant feed so far. I have lost 4 babies out of 50. I'm not sure if I am supposed to get them fat early or late, so again, when am I supposed to start the 12 hours on and or when am I supposed to stop it. I think I am not supposed to give them food the night before processing too. Thanks!!

Ok, first, I should mention that I have absolutely no experience with this.

From what I've read in this forum, it's my understanding that they get feed 24hrs/day for the first 2 weeks, then 12 on and 12 off until the end. And no food 24hrs before processing. This is what I'm planning to do, for now.

Thank you that is the same question I was going to ask! My chicks are now 2 weeks old, I can't believe how fast they grow. I had not heard the no food before freezer, do you know why?

We always started the 12 hour schedule after 1 week.

I start the 12/12 feeding at 2 weeks.
