Hi all

I have some Royal purple guinea keets and I was wondering when will they get their adult colors? I have never had this color before.

Also are the hens of the Royal Purple marked any different than the cocks?

Thanks

Kim

We have four Royal Purple keets who have most of their wing and upper body feathers, at 3 weeks old. Before now, all we had were Pearls and Lavenders; these Royal Purples are going to be truly stunning. I'm planning to get pics tomorrow and I'll return to this thread and post them for you.

Thanks can't wait to see your pictures!

They will molt at about 3 months and then they will get their dark colors. I had RP's but a dog killed them. I will get some more.

I'm new with guineas? So what color is pied? I have one that my family thought was RP and then it feathered like a pearl. I went out yesterday and noticed its turning very purple. That is so exciting!!!!! I didn't realize they molt. The color is looking beautiful.
