When do Quail/Chicken eggs pip??

Hi!
I'm just wondering when chicken/quail eggs pip? It's day 16
and I heard they're suppose to pip on day 15??
They didn't show any pips or movement.... Are they dead
or just pipping/hatching late??

Howdy, Is your incubator calibrated? And what day did you set? Have you candled recently?

My incubator was mostly correct(temperature/humidity) and when I candled them, they looked like they were developing. Although they were very dark when I candled them on day 14. I'm very new to quails unlike chickens so I'm not sure exactly.

Coturnix take 17 days to hatch. I would look for pips today and tomorrow.

Thanks! Are they suppose to make a crack? And are they suppose to move a bit? Because I've read online that they move too.

They didn't hatch... I'm still not sure because it's day 19 right now. How do you check if the chick pipped internally?
