when do roos star to crow

when do roos start to crow?my red star roo is 17 weeks old should I be worried if he has not tried to crow

Worried? No......... I would think thankful is more like it!!!

Seriously tho.......I am new to chickens as well - have 18 week olds........my one BLRW roo started to crow yesterday!

Sent my dogs into a frenzy!

It is LOUD!!!!!!!!!!

I have a freedom ranger that started at 10-11 weeks, a new hampshire red that started at around 13-14 weeks and now a white rock at 17 weeks

I was searchin' for rooster info and came across this thread.

We have 28 pullets, or we thought we had 28 pullets, but it turns out we have ONE rooster in the group!

The crow this mornin' took me totally by surprise.
Its was one of the Australorps thats 14 weeks old.
