All the time. There is another rooster within earshot (pretty far away). He crows... mine crows back. ALL DAY LONG. Almost like he's calling my hens to go join him and my boy is saying.... NOOOOOOOO they're mine!

Outside of our 2, there are atleast 4 within earshot. They all crow in a line one after another. It happens throughout the day but more prevalent in the morning and evening. If I watch them, they stand and listen like they are waiting on their turn in line.

Many of them start crowing somewhere between 2 and 4 months old, but there is a really wide range.

A while back, someone posted a video of a chick crowing when it was less than one week old. And I've read of other ones that waited 8 months or longer.

Yes, it depends on breed, and individual variation, and the birds' status in the flock.
Our youngest was a Fayoumi, known for maturing early, who started at 28 days of age.
It was beyond cute!

Most of mine so far start between 15-20 weeks.

There's a theoretical range between about a week to 8-10 months for very slow maturing birds of slow-maturing breeds.
