When do speckled Sussex start to lay in peoples experience

That’s so exciting.
One of my bigger girls is finally starting to get waddles and slowly change her comb color but the other ones are far away. Can’t wait though.

I have one Speckled Sussex, Willow, in my flock of six. She was 20 weeks old last Weds, 7/26. She has yet to lay an egg. She's the only one of my girls who isn't laying yet and now she's beginning to get picked on. One of the Sapphire Gems she followed around like a shadow and who seemed to be her protector is being especially unkind to her. I hope it stops when she begins laying. I hope she starts soon, but she's not exhibiting any symptoms, larger red comb/wattles, squatting. She has become more vocal this last week tho, if that has anything to do with it. Any other SS owners here have a late bloomer???

I have two SS both a couple weeks over 6 months old and still not laying or showing any signs of being ready to lay.
