When do these breeds start laying?

Mine are from Welp.

Also, mine are Blues -- which probably means some Andalusian back in their development that could have contributed earlier maturity.

But a good case in point as to how you really cannot predict when a chicken will start to lay.
I know how that is. Pea was an early layer, despite being hatched from birds I have that lay later, between 5-6-7 months. It surprised me.

I have 5 chickens a black australorp, a cinnamon queen, a buff orpington, a light brahma, and a silver laced wyandotte. I was wondering when they would start laying they are almost 10 weeks old.
When they are good and ready.

"Start of Lay" is more like a strong suggestion of a broad range of dates, influenced by genetics but also environment, and potentially delayed by diet.

With that undersatanding, the C Queen is a production hybrid, between 16-21 weeks would be typical. My five Brahma started laying after 7 months (around 30-31 weeks), while my five SLW were a few weeks earlier, ON AVERAGE. I can't speak to the Australorp from personal experience, but my (possibly flawed) understanding is that 20-26 weeks, favoring the early side of that range, is typical.

I have 8 Bantom chicks that are about 5 myths old. None are laying. As winter comes, will they lay or wait until spring?
They will most likely start laying no matter the time of year. My chickens were hatched during the summer and they started laying during the winter.
