When do they molt?

I have several girls that are looking a bit scruff. Are they molting this time of year??/

Yes its hot and there sheding their old feather and growing new ones

Mine are dropping feathers like crazy! It's their first molt, they are just over 12 weeks now. they should be really fluffy by winter!

The first real big molt is 18-20 weeks old. Before that, they go through several mini-molts, juvenile molts as they are getting adult feathers, etc.

I was kinda wondering the same thing..I hope they dont molt in the winter..will they do that?

Some do molt in winter. Depends on how old they are when winter hits.
