When do you install the nestboxes?

My chicks are 6 weeks old (26 of them) and the nest boxes are done, just not installed. How long do I wait to put them in so the chicks don't think they are a toy/perch?! I know as soon as I put them in they will start jumping on them etc. :|

I waite till I find one egg....then install them and put fake eggs in them. That way they know what they are for.

I put mine in days ago (mine are 10 weeks) and it doesn't look like they went near it.
I figure they will need time to get used to it. They seem to need time to adjust to new stuff. I went into the coop last night with a lounge chair and just layed there to relax and listen to them. that chair had them all nervous.
