When does a chickens Egg laying begin??!?!?!?!?

I have four really pretty hens. One of them (buttercup) has been in the nesting boX for two days. She created a nest out of hay and she's really red on her face. Does this mean she's going to lay an egg soon?!
She's been making some noises but not a lot. They are about 5 months old

yes those are sings of egg laying....I would say sometime this week you should expect an egg!!!...congrats post a pic here when you get it us BYCers love to see pics of your birds and eggs.
