Our rooster is 7 weeks and I think he would take crumble out of his grandmothers beak. He does not wait for the girls to eat etc. etc. etc. I assume this is something he will grow into?? Is it still possible for him to become a gentleman??

Im not exactly sure exactly what your question is but i think when he does get older he should become more "gentleman" like. He is still growing even at 6 weeks that is still really young for a rooster. Chickens will eat almost anything you give them but when the roo does get older he should be more gentleman like. Im not an expert but that makes sense.

They usually get better once they get thru the nasty little boy and horrible teenager phases. I have one that is still a jerk to the girls and as soon as we have the time he'll be going to freezer camp, but most likely your boy will grow up and take care of his girls.

If you want a metrosexual cockerel you should caponize him... just like the schools do to teach little boys... which reminds me, have you tried ritalin yet?

The only guarantee of good behavior is when his head is seperated from his body.

To answer the OP question, after he gets through the awful teenage years, is mature - crowing and mating - he'll settle down and learn manners. If he doesn't, I would look for another roo.

It took mine a few months to get it, now they immediately cluck to the girls if they see me coming with the treat plate.
