When does day 1 actually start?

My question is...If you have eggs mailed to you and you let them rest for 24 hours before setting them in the incubator when does day 1 actually start? Does day 1 start while they are resting or when you actually put them in the incubator?

Because the eggs have been cool (and therefore development has been put on hold), the first day includes the 24 hours that follow putting the eggs in the incubator (during which time the eggs warm and development starts again). You can count the development as one day old 24 hours after putting them in the inc. I put mine in at 8 pm on a Sunday, so on Monday at 8 pm, day one was complete.

day 1 start exactly at the day you put the eggs into bator....

but, some people did have different approach talking about defining day 1, some count from midnight some count from hour when they put it.

Doesn't matter if you had let them rest 24 hours. It's when you set the eggs in the bator. If you set the eggs before noon in the incubator, that is counted as day one. Anything after noon the next day becomes your day one.
