When does egg laying begin?

I'm new to this & can't find a thread.

When should I be looking for signs of egg laying to begin? What age? & when should my roosters begin making noises?

Mine are 18 weeks and we have 3 hens laying with 4 more getting in and out of the nesting boxes.

When their combs turn deep red.

I have a few hens whos combs are turning deep red. But they are 16 weeks.

My hens started at 19 weeks and my rooster started crowing at 11ish weeks.

I have my nesting boxes ready. But the younger ones want to go dig all the bedding out! Several of the girls combs are red now and are acting different. They aren't squatting yet but they may not? They don't let me hold them much. Can't wait for eggs!

My EE Roos are starting to crow at 12 weeks, the pullets are just starting to turn colour, expecting eggs around 18-20 weeks
