The first show of the season was held yesterday for poultry enthusiasts in my area. It was a good little show and the weather actually cooperated, not to worm and not too cold for this time of year.

There will be another one for my area in two weeks time, then a break for a month or so before the local exhibitions get started. The season continues until November.

Soooo....when does everyone elses show season start? How many shows will you attend this year?

If all goes well I should be able to get to between 5-7 shows....about one a month on average.

I believe that the Tucson Pigeon, Poultry & Fancy Fowl Club is holding a lawn show in Tucson this coming weekend; they also had one in March.

The county fairs run from April through August or September. The State Fair is mid October. There is usually a lawn show in Tucson at about the same time. There is a large show in Tucson on Thanksgiving weekend. There is a show in Safford the 1st or 2nd weekend in January, and the Arizona Poultry Organization is planning our first large show for February.

Additionally many folks from Arizona attend the Four Corners show the first weekend in November in Farmington NM. There are also several shows in California and Utah that are a reasonable drive.
