when does zipping start???

This pip has been going on for 5 hours! and no progress whatsoever. I can here the little lazy butt but I'm getting a little worried.

when will it start zipping!

It can take 24 hours.

ok. take along walk. stay away from the bator. take a nap. dont look. stay busy. hatching is hard work. the little chick is resting and absorbing the last bit of yolk, then when its ready several hrs later, zip and its out free. as long as humidity is good. dont worry. with every hatch the waiting doesnt get any better

anywhere from 20 minutes after pip to up to 30 hrs. Relax take a big breath and STEP AWAY FROM THE INCUBATOR!
