I'm in the Texas panhandle and one neighbor had a male with a train until September and another neighbor who has free range birds says hers lost all their feathers in early August last season.

Breeding season is year-round including winter. But in the wintertime it’s ideal to have brooding lamps and hatch inside (ex. Tool shed) but in the summertime, let the hens do the magic

Peafowl do not breed year-round.

Mine lose their trains between late July and late September. They usually start laying eggs in April and lay through September, though every now and then I get one laying October, November, and December, but that is rare.
