Literally, I mean. My chicks spent their first night outside last night. They all huddled up together by their feeder and did really well. I opened the coop this morning before I left for work and everyone was happy. I got to watch them "walk the plank" for the first time after their first night, it was cute. Lots of firsts though, like their first thunderstorm and first flood!!! It poured this afternoon for at least an hour, with the worst thunder I've ever heard, and for a long time. I went and checked on them several times, got soaking wet and improved the run a little. With that, I've never seen my yard flood the way it did, and now I am going to consider raising their run a few inches. Anyway, I was worried about them going through that but my girls and boy are now out in their run taking in the fresh bugs from the flooded yard.
