Hi,
my adopted from Animal Shelter white chick turned to be a beautiful Roo, as some of you suggested probably Austra White. And now he is 4 months old, already crowing so the only solution to keep him is to try a no-crow collar. He is not very big, not heavy (I would say 3 pounds) so I am wondering what size should I order. His neck is quite thin which suggest size Small, so my question is how much he is going to change? When he will be fully grown? Should I order Small or rather Medium (which looks to big for him now)? I am completely new to the subject, this is my first time having chickens and I love it!

On the picture you can see 7 months Sexlink Black Star on the left (definitely bigger then my white Roo), then 4.5 months old Brown Danish Leghorn and in front 4.5 months old Rhode Island Red. My Roo is taller, but somehow lighter then my hens. His neck is only 13 cm wide (5.11'').

Thanks a lot for any help!

I only keep hens and only want hens.. Personal preference to not want roosters..( troublemakers.

) One of the reasons is of course the crowing. I have read about these crow collars with less than ideal results.. Buy the size that will fit him now. Hopefully it will work well enough for you. The other options to decrow roosters are not pretty.
WISHING YOU BEST
