When should I put them outside

we are still in the midst of winter here and my 7 yeek old columbian plymouth are outside with a brooder light at night.... been there for two weeks and I assed the fouyoumi's last weekend... 5 weeks. They were just too stinky inside. Our temps reach zero and a bit below at night (thats 32 farenhuit)

My sweet little 5 week old silkie drama queens will stay in for a bit though....

usually when they start to get their adult feathers you will see a difference in their feathers

Before they are fully feathered, I start letting mine spend some time outside whenever the temperature outside is close to what their brooder temperature is.

I also normally start chicks in the house, to make sure they are doing well and then finish brooding them out in the coop or a grow out tractor. In that case, they have their heat lamp out there. Depending on their age and the weather, they might only need it at night or they might need it all the time.

Can you set them up to finish brooding in their coop?
