When should i start training

when should i start to train my keets so that they come back and what is the best method

I started at around 2 or 3 weeks old.

Choose a 'call' word...mine is "chick chick chick" followed by a whistle...just in case they are far away.
Then I put dried meal worms in the brooder...they jumped on them!

It didn't take but a few times and they were eating out of my hand.

I've got a couple real brave keets, at around 4 weeks old, (a week of daily training) I'll open the top of the brooder and they fly out and land on my arm, I'll give them meal worms with my other hand.
Sometimes they'll fly out before I use the call word!!

They must hear me open and shake out the dried meal worms.

They're good flyers but occasionally they miss landing on my arm and end up on the floor, they'll run around in a panic but a few calls and let them see the worms in my hand and they come running back!

Don't confuse them, I started using the call word and putting the food down, they stood there a few seconds waiting for the worms! Then they would start eating.
I think I should just use the call word and meal worms.
