I have a small question: When should I change my chicks food from "Chick Starter Feed" to real chicken feed? I'm a little unsure, and don't want to switch to early, or too late. Anyone have any help or references?

I've found that its best to keep them on chick starter feed until they are about 16 weeks (4 months) old, then replace the chick starter feed with the layer protein.

Chick starter really helps them grow and its 18% protein. Layer Protein is 22% and really helps the chickens maintain the high energy levels to keep the eggs coming.
