I just purchased 6 chickens 3 Rhode Island Reds and 3 Black Sex Links. One of the Rhode Island Reds has laid 2 eggs since we have had her home, but in the last 2 weeks has not laid anything. The other ones we have had for about two weeks, but have gotten nothing from them. We feed them a supplement that goes in with their feed, but it hasn't seemed to work. Do they have to get used to their new home or what? We are new to all of this and don't know a lot about their behaviors yet. I searched in the forums, but didn't really find anything. Can you help?

I was getting curious the people I talked to said they would lay every other day or so and I was getting worried.

It can take them a few weeks to settle in and start to lay again. It don't take much to cause an interuption in there laying. Even a slight change in their lighting. Hope they start laying regularly for you soon . Good luck :)
