I'm thinking ahead as I'm not confident I will get any chicks out of the remaining 3 eggs my 2 hens were sitting on - i think one of the hens has been sobotaging the operation. So I will try again but keep one hen in a small portable mesh coop so they can still see each other but can have their own nest of eggs.
My question is - they were due to hatch yesterday - how many days after they were due would you leave them before removing whats left and starting again?

I believe they will hatch up to day 25, especially if they were allowed to cool down.

Your idea to keep the broody seperate is a good one. It is the only way I ever get a broody to hatch something. But, yeah, I would wait 25 days.
