When to feed layer feed??

I have 20 3 month old pullets that live with my laying hens. They have access to flock raiser and they get into the layer feed too. Will the layer feed hurt them? They have been eating it for a few weeks now along with their flock raiser. I'm going to sell them soon as layers so they won't be eating it much longer. What are 3 month old pullets going for? $10 or $15? Thanks!

Why not keep the young pullets and sell some older ones?

I suspect that you're speaking about starter/grower feed. If you are the layer feed will not hurt your pullets. Layer feed however will not help your pullets to become the hens that they have the potential of becoming.

Pullets need to eat 16% layer feed at 18 weeks. Your pullets should be eating a 18% grower/starter feed now.

My chickens are 13 and 14 weeks today. They will be finishing their 4th bag of 20% starter/grower in a few days, and I picked up a bag of 15% grower today. The sign at the store said for poultry over 10 weeks, so is it OK to switch to this before going to layer at 17-18 weeks?
