When to let momma hen out of brooding cage?

One chix 2 days old, momma and baby in cage in chicken house, momma has been on nest for last 3 days without coming off. She came off yeserday into cage to chase baby. When and how do I let momma out of cage to get exercise and dust bath? I have a way to separate roo and other 2 hens from these into a "chix corral" separate from chix yard. Obviously new to chickens and chick and momma. Thanks, Leslie

Im not sure of your set up....but I let my momma out pretty early. She is in a dog crate (closed sides) in my shed. I open and let momma and chicks run in the shed all day and shut them in again at night. My chicks are a couple days old. I figure if they are too young, mom wont let them run around....
