When to let my guineas out

I have 14 Guineas that are about 2 months old. At what age should I start leaving the coop door open.

I have 14 Guineas that are about 2 months old. At what age should I start leaving the coop door open.

In my experience you can start letting a few out but leave some(most) in, they won't range far and will be very willing to go back in with their buddies when they can. Everyday let a few out and repeat. It is a good way to train them to return to their coop. After a few weeks you can let them all out but don't expect them to range far, they will slowly ranger farther as they learn the lay of your land.

Also, I'd do it under supervision for while, they are prime hawk food at that size.

My 9 week old keets just started free ranging during the day and they put them self back in the coop at night.
