I am so excited. I am getting eggs tomorrow and thursday. Will go into bator. Is the temp the same as chicken's? What about humidity and when to due lockdown. I am so excited I can not stand it. YAHOO
Incubation Temp: 99.5, humidity 45-50% for 23 days.
Lockdown on the end of day 23 or morning of day 24, Temp: 98.5, humidity 65-70%.
My eggs usually hatch between day 24 and 27.
I have 25 eggs in my hatcher right now, it's day 25, 1 egg has pipped so far, and I keep getting nose prints on the little windows.. lmao
I hatched guinea eggs using the same temp and humidity as chicken eggs. They were supposed to take 28 days till hatch, but mine hatched at around 26 days. Keep the humidity high enough the last three days because guinea eggs are really hard shelled and the keets will have a hard time zipping out of the shell if your humidity is too low. I'm not an expert on guineas, but this is just my experience with one hatch.
