When do you remove dud eggs or ones that have shown no development from last candling? 14 days? Or do you wait longer?

The couple of times that I wasn't sure about, after candling at 14 days, the duds in question exploded; one in an incubator & recently one after a broody hatch - when I curiously cracked it in the sink. Peeeee Yewwwww! What a mess! Now, I think of it as; if it's not a "strong show" of viable, then there's something messy in there or it wouldn't be caught up to the rest in hatching & just go to waist anyway. I hope I've learned my lesson after all these years, & avoid that "wishful or must be too tired" thinking. Best wishes!

I'll be pulling duds today, imsure I only have 6 total devloping 2 are questionable, rest were clear last I checked.
I remove all duds as soon as I am sure they are duds. It's usually pretty obvious around Day 10.

What about really dark shells? I have a few eggs left in the incubator that someone shipped to me, they are so dark & the shells are really strong, I can’t see in there!! I left 4 because I can’t see at all!! No funny smell. I’m almost at lockdown & im terrified I’ll have an egg-splosion!:idunno
