When to start giving extra food

Hi I bought 10 white leghorn hens, 5 sex link hens an 5 RIRs the leghorn are almost 4 weeks an the rest are 3 weeks old . My question is they have been eating the starter food I have to fill there tray twice aday an now that they are a little older they act like they are starving how old do they need to be to start eating table scrapes

If the chickens eat anything besides chick food they need chick grit. It doesn't really matter their age...If you think about it a mama hen takes the chicks out and they eat whatever she eats...Bugs worms, grass...all that jazz...so whenever as long as they have grit.

I'm still going to give them their starter feed then the next stage when they are old enough I just wanted to know when I could give them a little extra like table scrapes along with their feed
