When to start turning?

I'm starting my first hatch tomorrow and read in the incubator instructions not to turn the eggs for the first day. I don't think I've read anything here about that. Is this good advice or should I start turning right away?

I turn the turner on as soon as I latch the door on the bator, when I put the eggs in.

I did not turn mine the first 10 hours, but it is a good idea not to turn the first day.
