When to start using Chick Grit

I have 3 week old chicks & I have been sprinkling/mixing grit in their feed. Should I continue doing that or should I be giving them grit free in another feeder?

I don’t think it matters a whole lot with grit. With oyster shell when they are laying, yes I think that does make a difference, but not with grit. My personal preference is to feed it on the side, but that’s mainly because it’s easier for me.
