With the weather not cooperating when are you starting your eggs for spring chicks?
 
wow, I hadn't thought of that. Brooder's gonna be awful crowded if they have to stay in there 6 weeks. Maybe I'll wait till next month.
 
Mine hatch whenever I have a broody wanting to set, and grow up in the coop. Have some now under two weeks. Granted, this is not Alaska, but we have had a bunch of nights down in the teens, outside water is turned off, waterers have been frozen solid, days often around a high of 50. They thrive. People are doing the same in Wisconsin and Minnesota now. Your general location in your profile would be a big help.
