I have 3 4 week old ducklings and I feed them chick starter with some brewers yeast. When do I stop feeding them chick starter? Can I feed them cracked corn yet. And how old does my ducks have to be for me to feed them layer feed?

If possible I'd switch them to an All Flock ration or a flock raiser. They can stay on that for the rest of their lives. Put out a separate bowl of oyster shells for the calcium needs when they start to lay.

You can offer a bit of cracked corn after 8-12 weeks, but it is fatty and shouldn't be given too often or too much, especially if your ducks are confined or not active.

Layer is formulated for chicken hens who lay fairly well, and isn't suitable for those that lay less often.

Mine will quit eating starter when the bag is empty. We’re a long way from egg time, so I’ll go to laying food with my next bag. Besides, here they dont eat a lot of packaged food. Shmorgyboard of bugs on their menu.

At what age should I feed them flock raiser?
