when to stop medicated?

Before you start feeding it to them.

I've always heard two weeks before butchering.

We stop medicating when they are put on pasture. The medicine that is in the feed is usually amprolium... which is a drug for cocci....

Coccidiosis is prominent in the brooder and in stationary housing. If your birds are raised in a tractor and are moved a few times daily.... you will not need the medication... it's a waste of money and one less thing going into the birds that you have to worry about.

I would stop at two weeks... which is when they go out to pasture.
