hi, my hens are 13 weeks old. So far all are healthy. my question is this;
Should chickens be treated for worms and/or mites preventatively?

Thank you soo much!

Personally, I don't treat for anything unless there are symptoms of a problem.

Most wormers are losing effectiveness from over-use, just like antibiotics. Same for many of the insecicide products used to treat mites, etc.

If it ain't broke, I don't try to fix it... That's just my opinion though...

I have used a bit of Apple Cider vinegar in the water for worm prevention. An option for womring is also raw pumpkin seeds. There is recommendation to add buttermilk to the seeds too. This way you are not using meds. or chemicals.
