Hey y’all,

My 2 EEs are 21 weeks old. They’ve got rose and pea combs so it’s hard to gauge comb growth, but both are pretty darn red. They’re so skittish it’s hard to see if they’ll squat because they run, but when you finally catch them you can feel sticky-outy wings. Does it look like they’ll lay soon?

Sorry for the crappy pic, they’re super skittish.

My easter egger was my first to start laying, earlier than the golden comets which are supposed to be early, probably around 20-22 weeks. She laid for a month - and then stopped.

To our surprise, after not laying for a couple months, she just resumed a couple weeks ago, as we approached the shortest days of the year (go figure). She would have been about 7 1/2 months old then (we got them as babies 8 months ago today).
