When will i get eggs?

I have a flock of bantams 6 hens and 1 rooster. I live in southern CT and it has been warm for the past couple days and the days are getting much longer. Also, I give them layer feed. None of the hens have layed for 3.5 - 4.5 months. Why is this? How can I get the hens to lay?

Time, you just need to be patient for that first egg.

You can't get them to, they'll only lay when they're physically mature and able to which is normally around 5 months.

Warm weather does not induce laying. Layer feed does not induce laying. Number of daylight hours does stimulate the pituitary gland and will contribute to laying. If molting is complete and the hens are sexually mature, then lengthening daylight will eventually stimulate laying. In CT you are currently here with day length, which is not all that long:

So you have two options, one, be patient, let nature take its course, they will lay eventually. Your other option would be to introduce supplemental lighting so that the daylight length is increasing even more than it is naturally.

All the hens are fully grown.
they were laying when out friend gave them to us in may.

It's normal for them to quit for awhile over winter when day length is short. I only have one chicken and one duck that have started up laying again after their winter break. I hope the others start soon.

We've actually only gained about an hour since Solstice.

Waiting is the hardest part!
I have 2 bantam pullets that are 25 weeks old and have yet to lay.....Everyday I look in the nesting boxes and throughout the large run, hoping to find a little nugget!!!! Those little buggers are killin' me!

My 8 laying hens were laying around 2 eggs a day during winter time. Just last week they started going full auto again. It takes some patience. I like to keep it natural. No added lights. Take your time.
