When will mallards start laying eggs/breeding

I have 6 ducks 2 are still babies. My other 4 are 3 mallards(female) and 1 (kayuga). They are 1 month old and are decent size. I need to know when they will start to lay eggs. I also need to know when the male kayuga will start breeding with the females to produce fertile eggs. I am feeding them a high protein diet. Please let me know

I think mine (mallard derived, but not the actual breed) were at least 4 months, probably older.

I was going to say 4-6 months old. Also, some drakes take a little while to figure things out! I just started getting fertile eggs a couple of weeks ago from my young drake hatched in August (my girls are all older than him).
