When will Maxwell truly become a "Maxwell"?

The title may sound strange.... I have a 10 week old Columbian Wyandotte cockerel. When will his hormones kick in (mounting pullets, ect)? Any idea when he will start crowing?

Mine usually start crowing and mating around 5 to 6 months. Some start earlier or later than that.

Think Jr was crowing about 6 months. By about 8 he was ready to take over for his aging father and time to put Sr in the pot. Just watch young roos. Just the other day I had to pop Jr as he thought he was getting big enough to test me. Now he stays clear of me.
