when will my peahen lay????????

i bought a pair 2 1/2 year old peafowl. they have been here for a couple of months and have settled in nicely. they are living in a large area with 4 4 bourbon red turkeys. they all seem to get along fine. the boubon reds have layed but i have still not gotten an egg from miss peahen. when should i expect to see one??????

My hens here in central PA have just started to lay in the past week I blame it on cold weather we have here but I do not know for sure

Any day now, most start in April or May.

thanks. i am planning on taking the eggs and having a friend incubate them. i read that i can take some to incubate and she will continue to lay some more that i may let her sit on?? hope this is a good idea to insure that i will get some babies. i let my bourbon reds sit and they were great sitters but not good first time moms!! i lost them and took the rest to the brooder.
