When will My Silkie lay eggs again?

I just bought a white silkie with three babies tha she is mothering. Theyre so cute!! Anyway, my question is when will she start laying eggs again? Also, will she lay on a duck eg and hatch it if i give her some?? Thanks!

The amount of time that they begin to lay again varies, it usually is a little after she weans them. Silkies can brood ducks.

Just a word of caution though don't give her too many duck eggs as she will have a hard time turning them as they a significantly bigger than her eggs.

That is the time when they decide the chicks can fend for themselves, and she goes on to other things.
