my daughter bought a 1 year old chciken with 4 chicks the chicks are around 5 weeks old.when do you think she will start laying eggs again?thanks jim

Depends on breed, but most lay at around 4-6 months.

One of my girls started at 15 weeks. Now I think I have 2 more laying. They started "singing the egg song" about a week before the first egg.

We bought 3 chickens about a week ago. They are a little over ten months old and had been laying with their previous owner. When will start to lay again? Any suggestions as to get them to lay?
thanks

it could take a week or two for them to start laying again . they need to get used to the new souroundings from the move. just make sure they have free choice layer feed and fresh water and nest boxes to lay eggs in. they should start laying soon.
