When will these eggs hatch

Hello everyone,

My hen Carrie laid 5 eggs. The first one was on 07/11/07 the last one on 07/18/07.

She began to sit on the eggs on 07/22/07. So we are in 10 days of sitting

I am new to having a Hen. I have only had possession of Carrie since 07/01/07. She was with a Rooster for the last time on 06/29/07 and 06/30/07. I do not have a rooster. She was living with my Aunt before that and always was a pro at hatching eggs.

I guess I need to know if these eggs will hatch,

approximately when, and do I need to do anything special for the eggs.

Carrie will leave the nest once a day to eat, drink and poop and then back to the nest she goes.

Well, she should be laying fertile eggs for about 3-4 weeks after the roo is gone. Then as for when they hatch, 21 days after she first starts to set. You can candle now to see if they are developing.

usually the the roosters sperm only last about 30 days .so some of your eggs may not be fertile. stop tuning on the 9th and increase the humidity and do not turn after 18 days

No problem. Go candle them tonight and see how they are going along. You should be able to clearly tell who is developing and not. Or you can just keep letting your girl do her thing. I bet they will hatch, since she was separated from the roo for less than a month. I hatched out some silkies that I separated from a second roo for 3 weeks and still half the babies were mixed! Still silkies, just with some brown in there. Good luck!
