When will they figure out the ladder?

The girls have been outside for 3 nights now, and they haven't figured out how to get up to their coop, yet. The first night , I put them in their playhouse and sent them down the ladder hoping they would find it the next night. They are still sleeping outside. At what point will they figure this out? Is there a way for me to teach them?

It took my girls about 2 weeks to figure out that it was time to go in just before dark. I had to get in the run and send each one of them up the plank and into the coop. Then one evening I decided to sit in the doorway of the people door and call them by name. One by one, not in the order that their names were called, they came up the plank and into the coop through the chicken door. I did this for four nights in a row and they stuck with it. Now all I need to do is show up with their evening treat and they high tail it into the coop!
